DAILY ITINERARY

Barcelona - Montserrat - Zaragoza - Lourdes

Day 1 - Departure

Begin your journey as you board your international flight to Barcelona, Spain.

Day 2 - Arrive in Barcelona

Arrive at Barcelona Airport and transfer to the city center. Settle into your hotel and take an orientation walk through the Gothic Quarter. Join the Opening Mass at the Cathedral of Barcelona or another nearby church. Spend the evening at your leisure or join an optional group gathering. 

Day 3 - Barcelona: Faith and Culture

Start the day at the Sagrada Família, followed by visits to sites such as Santa Maria del Mar or Sant Pau del Camp. After some free time, participate in an evening Mass or a group reflection. 

Day 4 – Barcelona to Montserrat

Depart for Montserrat Monastery, around a 1.5-hour journey. Explore the Shrine of Our Lady of Montserrat, known for the Black Madonna. In the evening, attend a youth-focused prayer service. 

Day 5 – Montserrat

Begin with Mass at the Benedictine Abbey and visit the shrine. If interested, hike to the Cross of St. Michael for panoramic views. Enjoy quiet time afterward or group activities. 

Day 6 – Montserrat to Zaragoza

Travel to Zaragoza, approximately a 4-hour trip. Visit the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, the oldest Marian shrine in Spain. Celebrate Mass and have free time to explore the historic center. 

Day 7 – Zaragoza to Lourdes

Leave Spain and cross the Pyrenees to Lourdes, which takes about 5.5 hours. After checking in, join the evening rosary procession at the Sanctuary. 

Day 8 – Lourdes: Sanctuary Life

Visit the Grotto of Massabielle and the Basilicas, walking the path of St. Bernadette. Mass will be at the Grotto, followed by the candlelight procession in the evening. 

Day 9 – Lourdes: Stations and Healing Water

Follow the Stations of the Cross on a suitable route for youth. Participate in the healing baths or confession. The day includes an Eucharistic Procession and a group Mass. 

Day 10 – Lourdes: Retreat and Closing Mass

Engage in a morning retreat that includes Adoration, journaling, or a youth talk. The trip concludes with a Closing Mass of Thanksgiving and a farewell prayer at the Sanctuary. 

Day 11 – Departure

Wrap up your journey with a coach transfer to Toulouse-Blagnac Airport, taking about 2.5 hours, for your return flights home.
